Two Campuses Earn School of Excellence Recognition

Brenda Cowan Elementary and Southern Middle School have earned the 2023-25 School of Excellence designation for their effective family-school partnerships. This National PTA program is committed to supporting and recognizing partnerships between local chapters and schools to enrich the educational experience and overall well-being of all students.

Enrollment in the School of Excellence Program is open through Oct. 15 for the next year-long cycle. Through this commitment, PTAs and schools collect feedback from their communities to create and implement plans to improve family engagement and make a difference for every child. The PTAs and families become key partners in decision-making and school improvement efforts as the program opens the lines of communication and fosters critical thinking that yields positive, long-term results.
