For at least the fourth straight year, U.S. News & World Report has ranked three Lexington schools among the top 20 public high schools in Kentucky. In the 2023 Best High Schools results, Paul Laurence Dunbar High School came in at No. 9, Henry Clay High School was No. 11, and Lafayette High School at No. 12.
The rankings considered data on nearly 25,000 schools in 50 states and the District of Columbia. Factors included students’ performance on state assessments and how well the schools prepare their students for college.
