Basketball Program Information

The Southern Middle School boy's basketball program consists of three teams, a 6th, 7th, and an 8th grade team. We have 10 Fayette County games and we will play other non-Fayette County teams and tournaments during the season. We will finish the year playing in the Fayette County Tournament for the city championship.

Pre-season open gyms/conditioning will take place for each grade level before tryouts. All students must have a current KHSAA physical to participate in these activities. These activities are not required for students to attend before tryouts. Event dates will be posted on the SMS website, in the school building, and will be given in announcements. 

2024-2025 Tryouts for the upcoming season will take place in December before Winter Break. Specific dates and times will posted later this fall.
