At Southern Middle School, we take pride in our high expectations for all students and look forward to learning and growing with you throughout your child’s time at our school. With that in mind, you are invited to be an active participant at Southern Middle. Whether you want to be a member of our PTSA, help at special events or family nights, or simply assist in the cafeteria/hallways, we encourage you to be involved! If any of this interests you, please email our PTSA

We also want to keep you informed of all the things going on at Southern. We are trying to do a lot to extend our students’ education and want our families to be involved as much as possible. Up-to-date information will be posted on our website and will also be shared on our Facebook page, @southernmiddleschoolfcps! You can also follow our PTSA @smskyptsa. Lastly, I will send a weekly email blast through Infinite Campus called “Spartan News” that will list all the important dates and information for the upcoming weeks. Our goal is to make you aware of the opportunities we have at Southern and for you to experience all aspects of your child’s education!

We want our students and families to feel welcome, so please reach out anytime you have a question or concern. We also want our students to be pushed both socially and academically. When they leave SMS, our hope is that they will be prepared to excel at the high school level and eventually in the “real world.” Once again, welcome to Southern, and thank you for your continued support of your child’s educational experience!
